The local tolerance and performance of a healing powder and a healing paste were evaluated in a dermo-epidermic wound model in the domestic pig.

The conclusions of three different independent reports may be summarized.

In comparison with no treatment or with Promogran®: a commercial reference, the porcine globin activates and improves the quality of the healing of a full-thickness wound of the skin on pigs by:

• Inhibition of the contraction;
• Optimal neo-vascularisation;
• Optimal differentiation and organization of the epithelium.
